• Advising clients on strategically selecting new trademarks and advising them on how to maximize and expand the legal protection of their trademarks
• Registering trademarks in the U.S. and assisting our clients with registering their trademarks in other countries
• Filing all necessary documents with the U.S. Trademark Office to keep our clients’ trademark registrations current and in full effect, such as Section 8 “affidavits of use” and Section 9 renewal documents
• Developing internal corporate standards and practices for our clients, to ensure the proper use of their trademarks by employees, customers, business partners and media outlets
• Representing our clients in trademark disputes and litigation, including representation in proceedings before the Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (“the TTAB”), such as opposition and cancellation proceedings
• Assisting clients to engage trademark monitoring services, to protect against the risk of third parties infringing on our clients’ trademarks
• Negotiating and drafting trademark licenses, assignments and similar documents in order to maximize trademark portfolio revenues
• Assisting film and television producers, website owners, and publishers with advice and contracts for the use of third parties’ trademarks
• Assisting clients with domain name ownership issues and terminating the use of their domain names by cybersquatters
• Advising clients on “Trade Dress” issues and other trademark-related issues and laws
